Patrons and Olympic officials from many nations were shocked this evening when, just moments ago, the Olympic Opening Ceremonies drew to a close without any major catastrophes. For hours, hundreds of athletes from dozens of nations, as well as scores of Russian performers moved around the floor of the Fisht Olympic Stadium in a seemingly choreographed fashion.
IOC President Thomas Bach was quoted before the ceremonies as saying, “I would like to thank all the construction workers and architects, and all the people of Sochi. Now you are living in an Olympic region.” These and similar comments made by many officials preceding the event seem to support allegations that the ceremony may have been planned hours, perhaps even days ahead of time.

Who cares? We're not allowed to watch the olympics anyway, and what they do show they heavily censor. Putin must be laughing hysterically.

It's satire. Commentary on how everyone expected it to go to shit but it was just like, well, any other opening ceremony. I especially liked when the Ladas came out. Definitely no one I was watching with knew what the hell I meant when I yelled "LADAS!"
